Celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day!

So a 10 second history: today celebrates the anniversary of the first time crypto was used to purchase goods. Some mug (sorry, pioneer, someone had to start) paid 10000 btc for two Papa Johns in 2010. At time of writing this (08/05/24) that would now be worth around $623.8 million dollars or £499.2 million. And banks are still telling us it’s a scam…

According to investopedia.com, “The day has become legendary, less because it was the first commercial use of bitcoins, but because of Bitcoin’s worth in the following years.”

Bitcoin pizza day!

That’s not why I’m celebrating it! At time of writing, in this country, I still have some financial freedom. I can still exchange my goods for anything I like as long as it’s legal and I account for it properly. (Look out in September for a Barter Day.) I don’t think that will be the case for much longer. CBDCs are fast approaching, our current unelected PM did a video explaining it back in 2022 when he was still Chancellor. Cash will be phased out when they can. Banks along with governments world wide are doing what they can to discourage the adoption, or even purchase, of any cryptocurrency by the average Joe Bloggs.

While I can I want to fully exercise my freedom to exchange my goods for whatever I like, and to invest my hard earned “wealth” (haha if only) in whatever way I like.

Special offer

So today, to celebrate my current state of  financial freedom (while I still can) I’m offering 15% off any item ordered from me today when you pay with cryptocurrency.

Special Offer!

To claim the offer:

This shop platform won’t let me do an offer code, and the crypto exchange they’ve paired up with won’t accept me as I’m a sole trader rather than a limited company, so

  1. Browse the shop
  2. Go to my contact page
  3. Email me telling me the item you want and letting me know which token you want to use
  4. Do it TODAY the 22nd May 2024

Afterthought – Bitcoin Pizza reminds me of the pineapple pizza song… ugh – pineapple on pizza is just wrong on so many levels!

Disclaimer – not telling anyone to buy sell or have anything to do with crypto, simply encouraging you to invest some in some long lasting luxury leather if you do dabble!
