The easy way to customise the standard products in our shop are with the dye and thread options. We’ve included photos of these here to help you make an informed decision. These products will be with you a long time so enjoy browsing and choose wisely!
Dyes and leathers
We usually start with a natural veg tan leather, below. This will tan naturally and develop that traditional tanned aged look with time and use. See our blog here for more on colours, aging and dyed leather.
Please note that, as leather is a natural product the dyes will look slightly different on different hides. This depends on the natural oil content, how porus the leather is and other factors. You my see different colours with the same name in our gallery! For more on colour variation click here.
Leather Lace
We use leather lace on items such as book covers, handbags, or to edge guitar straps / tank straps. This is supple and strong and will age and tan well wih the product, provided you keep your product nourised and cared for!
We stock natural, brown and black flat leather lacing thong at £3.50 per meter. We also stock black round lace 1mm at £2 per meter and 3mm at £3 per meter.
There is a choie of stitching, depending on budget or how decorative you want the item to be. Photos: running stitch on the guitar strap and bag; whip stitch edging on bag and waste bins; and Spanish Edge Lacing on the sporen These are also priced by the meter. Quotes on request.
Thread
Some items call for a less hand crafted look, colours that pop, or extra strong stitching. Some items need to endure a lot of weight and pulling around. In this case we use a waxed thread to saddle stitch the pieces together. This is a locking stitch so where it’s used for items such as grab handles for collars, even if a stitch is cut, it shouldn’t unravel far at all.

Leather LARP Lace
We have some black square leather thongs in stock, roughly 22″ long, around 3mm square. We also have a limited number of natural and brown. £2 each plus postage. Email us to order.
