#Receptionist Day

posted in: Personal | 0

Haha didn’t mean to turn my blog into a list of celebration days, but I was a receptionist / administrator among other things, in a previous life. Now I guess I’m my own receptionist, but you can bet if I could afford to employ one then I’d be appreciating them every day (especially since I got a boring job to do today)!

My last staff photos

Was doing an advert saying “receptionists are over-worked, under-paid and under-appreciated – treat yourself to a personalised leather diary cover – you’re worth it” kinda thing, and I thought (procrastinated), maybe I have a photo or two from when I was a receptionist… hahaha – yep and they made me smile – I don’t have any from Addaction days (best team-mates I ever had!), or the accountants (also met some lovely people here), but my last job administrating a school… ah it was so sweet!

school office ready for Christmas

My lovely sunny office that I designed next to the Y6 class that I used to regularly disrupt…they got their own back and decorated it for Christmas!

Honestly I had so much fun working as a receptionist. The staff, for the most part, were great and supportive, the kids and families were fantastic! Over-worked, under paid and taken advantage of by the higher ups, always…

Oh yeh – obligatory advert! If there’s a receptionist in your life you’d love to show your appreciation for, what better way than with gifting them a “forever years” personalised genuine leather diary cover? A standard A5 diary will fit inside this one, and it can be reused year after year. I made one for myself to remind myself every time I opened it that: “Time flies… remember to appreciate the beauty in the small moments”.
