Been a bit more active, generally tbe last couple of weeks – completed a repair job, been a bit more consistent with the gym, even enjoyed a night away in Plymouth, breakfast at Captain Jasper’s and a tour of Exeter!
This week it’s been more home based – trying to tame the huge garden and pre-post some social media. Not enough energy to walk the length of my house today, so sat here starting at the screen again!
Problem is, pre-posting makes me feel like I haven’t achieved anthing today! Yes I know if I consistently do legs I’ll see results in the future… same thing I guess, but I’m used to instant gratifiction, not dial up any more!
In fact I was ruing my lack of patience in my latest video!

Video Editing
I’ve taken a break from editing a video for a minute. Just to let off steam about editing I guess… I think I’m wondering if it’s worth it because it’s such slow going! I’m currently in the finishing off stages of a video of a job I recorded Monday last week.
The job took about 45 minutes (minus interruptions and wittering). I’ve been editing the original videos every day since. I’m down to about 20 minutes before I put the final pieces together and lose a bit more. I’m hoping to be done today (since energy won’t let me do anything else) so I can review and pre-post/post tomorrow.
I guess at the worst it’s keeping me occupied. And to be fair, I’ve amused myself in this video… I’m including out-takes!
But it will be about 2 weeks, from start to finish to edit footage of a 45 minute job into a less than 20 minute, watchable video!

If I’m honest I’m probably doing that female thing where we whinge but don’t want solutions, just sympathy… this is the right place to do it since stats say this page is barely visited haha!
Although, blogging in itself is a bit of a solution. Yes, today is a dull and frustrating day: my brain wants to do everything, body says no! But my faithful Beastie is sleeping loudly by my side, and editing these photos have reminded me that every day isn’t this dull and I’m a little bit further from where I was! (And at least my brain is capable today if my body isn’t! Sometimes it’s the other way round, sometimes it’s neither!)
This really would be the perfect job / life for me if I was capable of keeping it up! It’s such a mix of practical, tech, and creative!
