I don’t know if anyone’s reading this, but feels like a goood thing to do – if it keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I’m not sitting still, even if sometimes it feels like slow going, starting a business on your own.
Training
So many balls to juggle when you’re running your own business: you are your own secretary, manufacturer, model, photographer, marketer and boss. And as an adult you often don’t know your gaps until there’s an issue! Marketing is my issue – I’m crap at selling stuff (said that elsewehere on here I think!) so I completed a training course in marketing content with DPN. Great content and free. Would thoroughly recommend.
New products!
I’ve just uploaded these butterfly wings for boots – brand new product, developed from an original idea and a customer request. Having trialled the original for a few months I’ve added straps and I’m actually really impressed with the result (and that I managed to get all the costings and marketing stuff done!

Leather Working Videos
I managed to upload a short video showing the beginning of the process, and have footage for most of the rest! A longer video will be uploaded next month, showing the whole process, complete with wittering!
Eco Ravn has made a little progress this month – making videos, shorts and a new twist on some old products coming soon!
Belt pouches are now available to purchase through the Ravn Leather web shop.

Funny story to end with
(I don’t mind laughing at myself!)
We went to the beach in our pirate getup answer to an call for a Cosplay photoshoot that evening. Found the beach but couldn’t find anyone else in costume, and didn’t see the expected photographer. Yes – we were the only ones in costume at the beach
We chatted to a few lovely folks on the beach, were refused entry into a disco (saved me £45!) and then met the lovely people at Sammy Southall Photography, Chatted, sang and danced to 80s hits as the sun set and the fires were lit.
Oh – and we had some drama delivering a van to Cardiff – maybe next time: it’s way past my time to be unconscious and I’ve eaten far too much chocolate this evening!
